This Prior Information Notice (PIN) serves to alert the marketplace to this potential opportunity and Forestry England invites interested prospective contractors to lodge an initial expression of interest by submitting their details electronically. Forestry England is looking to procure the design and installation of a vehicle washdown system at Woodside Nursery, Northwich, CW8 2EU. The vehicle washdown facility is for general cleanliness of the vehicles cleaning off visible contaminants such as mud, sand, soil as well as oil/greases and glycols but also for biosecurity /phytosanitary reasons killing pathogens using heat and/or sterilant with the water. This work will be in two phases. Phase 1 will be the installation of concreate washdown area 5.4m x 10.6m, this needs to accommodate a wide range of vehicles including tractors and agricultural equipment. We need concrete pre-settlement silt traps installed, fitted with removable grid style lids and guide rails to prevent vehicles driving directly over the lid this is to collect the wastewater. Phase 2 is the installation and connection to services of the reclamation unit and jetwash The dirty water is filtered and sterilised, this using preferably ultraviolet light generated ozone so this can be reused, with any excess clean water disposed to a soakaway (also part of the works). This system needs to be vandal proof, easy to use, inspect and maintain. Forestry England are currently scoping our requirements to ensure that the specification and future tender documentation accurately reflects the offerings of the market. We invite companies from the market to register their interest in this future requirement and provide feedback on potential clarifications on the feasibility of our emerging plans. We intend to publish a procurement exercise for this requirement in November 2023
